The .NET Framework is Microsoft's comprehensive and consistent programming model for building applications that have visually stunning user experiences, seamless and secure communication, and the ability to model a range of business processes.
As a Microsoft Gold Partner, Orion has taken the lead in developing applications using the .Net technologies. Our technologists have extensive experience in the field and have deep knowledge of the latest tools and frameworks. More importantly, these are fundamentally strong techies. From multi-threaded real-time trading platforms to the world’s leading content management product – our java practice has provided success to a myriad of projects.
Here are some of our recent accomplishments:
Re-architected and developed a Risk Management solution for one of the largest investment banks. The original solution was implemented using Servlets and custom HTML rendering POJOs, EJBs and was tightly coupled with the Weblogic front-end framework. We're-architected the solution to be 100% service-oriented with just 1 web-controller and dynamic rendering. The application load time reduced from over 90 seconds to just under 4 seconds. New application was created to massively reduce cost of operations, future cost of modifications and, time-to-market. The new architecture was based on the following:
- RIA web front-end using custom Javascript framework to manage XML,XSL,Asynchronous service invocation etc.
- Custom Service Orchestrator on the middle layer built on top of simple Spring MVC libraries
- Discrete services on the service bus, with OSGi-type custom module manager built using IoC Libraries (Spring, Spring DM, Betwixt, OXM etc.)
- Data transfer based on XML/XSL and XML-Java binding (Betwixt, OXM)
- Distributed service deployment, management, provisioning and lifecycle - Container agnostic and managed by custom POJO framework
- Distributed logging

Some of the world’s leading products, web apps and frameworks are based on open source technologies. Orion has a very active and enthused community of open source developers. Our people are regular committers to leading open source projects in various language stacks. Many of our internal frameworks have been developed on top of industry leading OSS (Open Source Software). Some of our recent involvements:
