Deployment engineer (LWM2M Cap Planning)

Deployment Engineer Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the deployment activities.

  • Good knowledge of Linux commands, processes, and scripting

  • Knowledge on Cloud solutions (Open stack/VMWare/Docker/Kubernetes)

  • Experience on any commercial Databases (SQL/ MariaDB /Oracle?…etc)

  • knowledge in Postgres//MySQL/LDAP Databases

  • Protocol understanding: COAP/MAP/SIP/Diameter/Sigtran etc

  • Trace & log file analysis tools (Wireshark/AWK/KSAR/SoapUI)

  • Operating Systems - Linux Red Hat, Windows Server

  • Security - Firewall management, Data protection, socks, proxy

  • Scripting (optional) - PowerShell, Bash, Ansible

  • Hardware & Software deployment

  • Virtualization - OpenStack

  • Programming knowledge in Python/Shell

  • Deploy the network elements

  • Development of MOP, ATP, and other documentation for projects lab entry

  • Assist with the Installation of solutions based on the MOP or hardware

  • Execution of test cases for various software drops for the required upgrades

  • Discuss technical questions with the customer

  • Work with the support team to deliver the support to the customized solutions

  • Manage the network configuration (Installation, commissioning)

  • Manage the changes in the network to allow integration with other network systems

  • Report the progress of the work to key project stakeholders

  • Perform the acceptance of new Network Elements into Operations

  • Ensure integration as per Low level solution documents

  • Complete testing and acceptance with customer on the agreed test cases with customer

Skills:

  • Strong communications skills to interact with the R&D organizations and where necessary, customers

  • Ability to understand customer perspective and end-use-cases to define product behaviour

  • Good understanding of System dependencies & dimensioning for Software Applications performance and availability

  • Experience with International team management - able to assimilate and respectfully coordinate various cultural gaps

  • Plan, together with the Project Leads, the tasks and activities of the process teams in support of the project's scope and timeline

  • Collaborate and manage SI Partner service delivery for process design, build, test and deployment

  • Ensure adherence to the design methodology, deliverables, timelines and approach

  • Building effective global teams, including indirect resources and third parties, and holding them accountable for results

  • Highly motivated individual, and a team player who adapts to a dynamic global work environment

  • Availability to travel, and to work under pressure with SLA in mind

  • Ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines

  • Self-driven, independent, and passionate with a strong sense of ownership
