The Transcoding DENO position requires direct interaction with customers, peers, engineering, and sales. This position requires in-depth troubleshooting techniques and fault isolation skills. The DENO should have in-depth knowledge of Linux, Python, Perl Scripting, Voice Over IP Telephony Architecture and Protocols, real-time transcoding and OpenStack orchestration and cloud based application knowledge.

Specific skills and key words

  • Experience with Client's C3 class 4 soft switch, it's Element Manager and its G9 Media Gateway

  • Experience with in-depth troubleshooting techniques and fault isolation skills with Client C3, VNFM and MFRC/MFRP solution used for standing up instances and provisioning transcoding services.

  • Support product software upgrades on customer lab and production installed base of Client products (C3, G9, VNFM and MFRC/MFRP).

  • G9 Converged Media Gateway

  • C3 Gateway Controller

  • C3 Signalling Controller

  • MRFC = Media Resource Function Control

  • MRFP = Media Resource Function Processor

  • IMS/TISPAN networks

  • Virtual Network Function (VNF)

  • Network Function Virtualization (NFV)

  • Management and Orchestration (MANO)

  • NFV Orchestrator (NFVO)

  • HEAT

  • YAML (Yet Another Markup Language)
