At Orion, we are proud of our culture of diversity and inclusion. Orion was built on the foundation of a diverse group of individuals. We have grown into a global organization, with associates residing in 13 countries – from the US, to Europe, India, and Mexico. We value the traits that make us different from one another. We all bring a diverse set of perspectives, work and life experiences, and we firmly believe our differences make us more valuable in business and to our clients, and help drive innovation.

Employee Diversity

Orion is an equal opportunity employer.  We are proud of our diversified global workforce and have built our company on a culture of diversity and inclusion.  Orion prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and affords equal employment opportunities to employees and applicants without regard to race, creed, color, religion, citizenship status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Orion conforms to the spirit as well as to the letter of all applicable laws and regulations.

Orion is committed to a fair, equitable society. Our commitment applies to all personnel actions, including but not limited to recruitment, hiring, placement, promotion, transfer, separation, compensation, benefits, training and education.

We embrace and encourage our employees’ differences. The collective sum of the individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, self-expression, unique capabilities and talents that our employees invest in their work represents a significant part of not only our culture, but our reputation and company’s achievements as well.

Gender Diversity – Women in Technology

We value the contributions of women in roles across our organization and actively hold recruiting drives for women throughout the year to increase our gender diversity. We launched the Orion Women’s Network (MyOWN) to support women in their careers at Orion. We actively celebrate our women employees and their contributions as leaders and innovators. Get to know the women of Orion.

  • Our women in technology roles from around the globe recently spoke on a webinar about what it’s like working in tech in their countries – from the US, Mexico, Serbia, Türkiye, India
  • Our women leaders from around the world recently shared stories about their success, the importance of mentorship, who inspires them, and provided words of advice to other women in tech.
  • Watch recent videos from our International Women’s Day celebrations and hear reflections from women joining us after a motherhood-induced career break, as part of our Reboot with Orion program.

Diversity driven Internships

Orion has partnered with NPower to provide opportunities for technology careers to underserved communities on the North East of the US. NPower is a national nonprofit that serves as the market-by-market link between non-traditional job seekers and employers hiring diverse IT talent, creating an alternative fast-track to jobs for veterans and young adults from low-income communities on a national scale. Orion actively seeks out interns from NPower’s bi-annual graduates, with the chance for employment.

Supplier Diversity

Orion also provides equal opportunity to suppliers to participate in the procurement sourcing process. This includes small business enterprises, and minority-owned and women-owned business enterprises (MWBE).

While we endorse the overall participation of MWBE businesses in our purchase of materials and services, our contracts are awarded to the best supplier for our needs.  We also encourage all MWBE suppliers to be certified, however it is not required.

We work with a number of recruiting agencies that are MWBE and nurture the development of a diverse values-driven talent pipeline both internally and externally.

Diversity of people, cultures and ideas strengthens our ability to provide innovative, high-value products and services.
