In a recent SD Times article, “5 DevOps Myths,” contributing editor Lisa Morgan speaks to Orion EVP & Head of Delivery, Pradeep Menon and unpacks five common misconceptions around DevOps.

Morgan writes that the five misconceptions are:

DevOps = Dev + Ops
It’s all about tooling
DevOps increases error rates
It’s about automating part of the SDLC
A DevOps engineer will enable a DevOps transformation

When investigating the second misconception, Pradeep explains why it’s not all about tooling, “People focus on process and tools instead of interactions and individuals and how they come together.” He continues, “It’s about culture and faith.”
