Cognitive Engine comprises 2 modules:

  1. Computer Vision – Synthesizes, processes, and analyzes different types of visual data
  2. NLP/NLU – Understands, processes, and analyzes textual data and documents in different languages, ultimately giving machines the ability to derive contextual meaning from various languages for business use cases

Computer Vision Features:

  • Optical Character Recognition (OCR): This sub-module converts scanned images of text into electronic text so that digitized data can be searched, indexed and retrieved.
  • Object Identification: This is an AI-powered, deep learning technology used for identifying common objects from a given image or video, along with the accuracy level for each object. It uses the Retinanet model for image object detection and the YOLOv3 model for video object detection.
  • Image Classification: This sub-module uses deep learning and AI for categorizing and differentiating images into distinct classes and predicts which class each image belongs to.
  • Video Analytics: This sub-module automatically analyzes videos to detect and determine temporal and spatial events. Video analytics is often used for surveillance and monitoring; it identifies specific events as they unfold and raises alerts, ultimately enabling quicker responses and efficient risk mitigation.
