Partners Integrate Thermal Scanning into Customer Offerings

As the world fights the spread of the coronavirus, new technologies are emerging to help mitigate the spread in public and commercial spaces. Sam Adeyemi, Head of US Sports & Entertainment, spoke to Spencer Smith from TechTarget about the emergence of thermal technologies to help identify the potential presence of the virus in people at live venues. These technologies are being integrated into operations for a safer execution of live sports and entertainment events. They are a key technology tool in their arsenal to deter the spread at live events when fans and audiences return.
Sam explained how Orion interpreted the challenges associated with the virus as another consideration to integrate into technology solutions for the Sports & Entertainment industry. “The COVID use case is just that — it’s another use case,” he says. Sam explains, “As we deploy our technologies, we are constantly looking for ways to evolve them. [The thermal scanning system] is an additional capability that we worked into our overall workflow.”
