What do you love most about working at Orion?

The thing I love most about Orion is that everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission. I also love the collaborative work environment and getting to create a level of trust with the management team, which keeps me engaged and excited.

What advice would you give to other women in technology roles?

The one piece of advice I’d give to other women in tech roles is that the only way to do great work is to love what you do, be determined, and stay passionate.

As leaders in the workplace, women should keep in mind that we can lead by an example, so be supportive and collaborative with others. Women can help others set goals and attain them by emphasizing teamwork, investing in training, and prioritizing mentoring and development.

What  do you love most about the technology industry?

The technology industry in today’s world is the most challenging, inspiring, and rewarding of them all. It’s full of research, development, and innovation. It gives everyone an opportunity to follow their passions.

What is the secret to your success?

The secret to my success is to take ownership of my work. Success is more than just an achievement.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve overcome?

Out of the tremendous daily challenges I have overcome, one of the biggest challenges I have dealt with is integrating an internal ATS system across North America. This process included heavy training and long hours. The most difficult part was working with the availability of my colleagues while working my regular workload. Moreover, training took longer than anticipated because everyone had a different understanding of the system.

Who are some of your female role models or women you look up to?

Susan Wojcicki, Belinda Parman, Sheryl Sandberg, and Dorcas Muthoni.
