Generative AI (GenAI) has been one of the biggest surprises of 2023. GenAI conversations have moved out of the IT department and into the boardroom. Yet, the AI revolution is in the early stages. Surveys continue to show that the technology is set to top most businesses’ priorities in the year ahead.
AI will play an increasingly important role in the overall enterprise digital transformation and serve as a critical driver of innovation and not an afterthought. We’ve spent a lot of time incubating new ideas and co-innovating with clients on their 2024 GenAI strategies and offer these six predictions for enterprise-level GenAI adoption in the year ahead.
Enterprises move from GenAI POC to pilots.
Last year was focused on GenAI experimentation and proof of concepts (POCs). Use cases have ranged from applications for internal productivity gains to infusing GenAI-enabled features in existing platforms. Enterprises are still learning the basics of the technology, its potential and its limitations. So, in 2024, we’ll continue to see more POCs, but many use cases will advance to a pilot launch.
