Home / Perspectives / WSJ: One Equity Partners Merges Portfolio Companies Orion and Zodiac By Laura KreutzerUpdated June 8, 2020 7:00 am ET One Equity Partners didn’t need to go far to find the latest addition for its digital technology developer Orion Systems Integrators LLC, which does business as Orion Innovation. The New York-based private equity firm is merging Zodiac Systems Inc., a video service software provider it acquired in 2015, into Orion, which it purchased in 2018. Chip Schorr, Senior Managing Director at One Equity, said the firm had been considering a combination of the two companies when it bought Orion, but because both Zodiac and Orion had strategic initiatives they were working on at the time, it opted to wait. “Video is becoming extremely important,” said Raj Patil. “I think it’s at the forefront of the next big digital transformation.” Read the full WSJ article here.
