The client is a bank headquartered in the UK that offers consumer banking, corporate and institutional banking, and investment banking services. It serves markets such as Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The Singapore entity of this bank has been a Temenos customer since 2016.
Challenge
The bank was looking to revamp its retail and private banking technologies as its legacy systems were no longer adequate. Looking to leverage the latest technologies and deliver a better digital banking experience, the client sought to upgrade to Temenos solutions.
Solution
Once the bank had chosen their solution, they needed an integration partner. As a Temenos partner, Orion was selected as the integration team that met the needs and requirements of the bank. Our team was brought in to integrate and upgrade the client’s instance of Temenos including end-to-end Transact extending the use of Temenos from their private banking business to their retail business as well. All of this work was to support the bank’s Singapore operations.
Impact
We were able to deliver the bank’s upgrade on time and on budget with a successful launch for retail banking clients. Since this engagement, the client has sought additional implementation for their branches in Taiwan and Hong Kong as well as signing us on for their operations in the UK. This integration contributed to expanding their business in Asia as well as potential future business across Africa.
