Our microservice-based solution covered a number of functions for the association, an example being player discipline. The new discipline system featured end-to-end integration creating a single source of information for league officials, teams, and players. Now when a player receives a penalty or ejection, the centralized system can track that information and notify players of the resulting suspension and or fines. It has reduced administrative burden and increased transparency and efficiency for everyone involved.
The client is a major European sports association with a rich history spanning 150+ years and some of the most valuable franchises in the sports world.
The client’s legacy platform was built over the years with new modules being added based on need. They had 14 modules with multiple instances and clients across 18 counties, with unique hosting and support requirements resulting in duplication of code and bugs. Their outdated tech stacks had high maintenance, upgrade, and hosting costs leading to scalability issues and long lead times for software rollout and deployment.
