The client is a major North American sports league that has been around for close to 150 years and with revenue north of $10 billion. Orion has had a relationship with the client for over 18 years.
The client hosts over 5,000 events (games, galas, conferences) annually, but were operating with legacy systems that are disconnected and cumbersome with manual processes.
Orion was brought in to digitize and streamline legacy systems. The solution was a proprietary platform built out with separate modules. The modules helped with things like credentialing, event management, officiating evaluation and analytics, drug testing program management, background check and internal investigations, RFID based inventory management, official management, and more. The platform is capable of supporting these various processes end-to-end unburdening administrators from the manual tasks of the legacy systems.
The Orion Sports Platform manages the entire game day operation end-to-end. The client can execute 2,500 events per year printing as many as 65,000+ badges for a single game, including providing special access for VIPs. It is used by 48,000 people across the league. We are the largest development partner for the league with over 15 active products and solutions that are used to enhance business operations, improve the fan experience, and safeguard game day operations.
