Over the last year, I have witnessed an unprecedented level of frustration from enterprises about digital transformation efforts that have resulted in shelved initiatives. I’ve seen that trend accelerate in recent months. While this is largely anecdotal, it is indicative of an endemic problem. Unfortunately, there is a mismatch in the market between the needs of enterprises to successfully execute complex digital transformation initiatives, with traditional technology approaches and what most players are able to actually deliver.

Today’s technology challenges are complex, and they require a new way of thinking. Technology providers must be nimble enough to zero-in on the specific business and technological challenges of their client, agile enough to deliver a timely solution and mature enough to scale as needed. In fact, I’ve personally witnessed displacements of traditional big IT players with lesser known services partners, driven by the desire to do things differently – faster and more creatively.

I recently began writing for Forbes about this shift in the digital transformation space. In my first Forbes article, I covered why companies are frustrated with their digital transformation initiatives and how that has given rise to a new breed of tech player that can inject a more creative way of thinking about digital transformation, coupled with nimble and accelerated execution. In my most recent Forbes article, I explore how companies can successfully develop their road map and actually deliver on their digital efforts.

If you’ve experienced frustration with POCs left on the shelf, or digital transformation initiatives that have either stalled due to lack of ROI or failed to transform, you are not alone. I want to hear from you.
