What do you love most about working at Orion?
What I love most about Orion are the great culture and enthusiasm of people. I see how passionate and dedicated people are during our meetings – that I must say is a testament to Orion’s super successful growth journey.
What advice would you give to other women in technology roles?
I would certainly recommend women to become mentors to other women. Help, guide, and let young minds explore and benefit from your experience.
What do you love most about the technology industry?
I love how dynamic the technology industry is. Being from a non-tech background (Journalism) can be quite challenging, but having a mentor in my early career helped me from drowning. Since then, I have never looked back; I’m enamored by technology so much that, when I do my regular work, there is a continuous thought in the back of my mind – how can I automate this? Is there technology available?
What is the secret to your success?
Having a mentor is the secret to my success. I must say that I am lucky to have asked for help, and she (an IT veteran and my prior boss) was more than willing to help and guide me.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve overcome?
Apart from becoming tech-savvy, the other challenge that I overcame a few years ago was becoming financially independent: handling my own money, investments, and tax obligations, instead of depending on an external consultant.
