Temenos is a powerful tool for banks to provide a modern digital customer experience. Our experts can provide expertise throughout the integration journey including regional customizations and our own proprietary tools. The client is a major digital bank rooted in Southeast Asia. The bank offers basic banking services and aspirational products in line with cutting-edge technologies. Challenge Digitization was at the heart of the client’s aim. They were looking to leverage the latest technologies to serve Micro-Small-Medium-Enterprise (MSME) primarily in Singapore, ASEAN region, and Greater China. This meant leveling up their payments capabilities. Solution The client turned to the Orion team as a trusted partner for Temenos integration. Our experts were able to implement, develop, and configure Temenos Payments Hub for our client to work within local markets. The integration had heavy customization for MEPS+, FAST, and PayNow, popular local payment methods in Singapore. On top of the regular Temenos integration, our team developed and deployed several external Java and cloud-based microservices and a complex authentication process. One of our custom solutions improved the ease and efficiency of Synchronous interface calls. The client said it was faster and had an easier user interface than the default Temenos integration. Impact Our team successfully completed all L3 development of the complex payments integration using the latest Temenos L3 Java Extensibility in the R21 release. Alongside the latest Temenos solutions, the customizations required were developed and deployed in just 4 months. Our team was the first to integrate the local clearings for Singapore, which we then provided to Temenos and they have since been integrated into their service, unlocking the Singapore market for further Temenos integrations. Furthermore, our custom Java-based micro solution, which we call SmartConnect, is an authorized Temenos integration platform. It combines messaging, web services, data transformation, and intelligent routing, to reliably connect and coordinate the interaction of a significant number of applications with transactional integrity. It is a tool that can be leveraged to improve the speed and ease of any web-based request.
